|
Students are generally entitled to graduate under the degree requirements of the catalog in effect during their first completed semester of enrollment.
The following provisions apply:
- A catalog more than ten years old may not be used for degree completion.
- A student who interrupts enrollment for more than one calendar year (except for involuntary military service) must meet the degree requirements in effect at the time of re-enrollment.
- A student returning from involuntary military service may retain eligibility under the original catalog provided they re-enroll within one year of separation from service and no more than five years from the start of military service.
- A student who changes academic programs or colleges will be subject to the degree requirements in effect at the time the change becomes effective.
- A student transferring directly from a junior college may use the catalog in effect at the time of initial enrollment at the junior college, provided the student completes the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board core curriculum and does not interrupt enrollment for more than two consecutive semesters (excluding summer).
- Additional curriculum requirements may apply when degree programs are revised to meet accreditation, licensing, or regulatory standards.
