Applying for Financial Aid
Texas A&M University-Victoria administers a wide range of scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study employment opportunities for eligible students. Students are encouraged to apply as early as possible, as some funding is limited and priority may be given to early applicants.
To be considered for federal financial aid, students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) beginning October 1 each year for the upcoming academic year. Students who do not meet the eligibility requirements to complete the FAFSA may be eligible to apply for state financial aid by submitting the Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA). Students must reapply annually, as financial aid eligibility and regulations may change each year. The FAFSA is available at studentaid.gov or through the Financial Aid page on the university’s website.
The A&M-Victoria Scholarship Application is available to all students beginning December 15 each year. Students must complete the scholarship application annually to be considered for institutional scholarships.
Viewing Your Financial Aid Status
The university issued student e-mail is the official mode of communication that is used to notify students of changes or updates to his/her A&M-Victoria records. Students should check their student e-mail account periodically. Students can view his/her A&M-Victoria financial aid records on-line in their self-service account. Students should review their financial aid status; accept, modify, or decline financial aid offers; and/or view the tasks listed on the To Do List and/or holds on their student account. Please note that additional forms and documents may be required in order to complete tasks listed on the To Do List and/or to clear holds. Most of these forms can be found on the A&M-Victoria Financial Aid web page.
